Plastic pollution
Plastics are byproducts of the oil industry:

Plastic pollution in the oceans is common knowledge:

What is less known is that it is not the rain forests, but the oceans that produce most of the oxygen that make the semi-intelligent life of humanity possible (the range varies by estimates):

Microplastics are also everywhere, because they break down slowly, but they act as endocrine disruptors, turning male frogs into females and they might have something to do with human gender confusion, too, although the amount of contraceptive hormones in municipal water alone are probably more than enough to wreak havoc in humans. Microplastics also damage the mitochondria, weakening the human immune system.
Recycling plastics?
Even the usually hilariously-misreporting NPR admits that plastic is hardly ever repurposed, although its “recycling” still fits into the big scheme of “environmental consciousness” that is meant to hammer it in for the masses that they don’t matter:
Another degenerate source, The Guardian, also confirms this:

Plastic into oil
Apparently, the technology exist to turn plastics into oil:
The following small player seems to collect contributions and there is a good chance that after receiving them, it will vanish in thin air:

Harvard is also ringing the bell:

You're not allowed to turn plastic into oil Ray. You have to turn it into EV batteries.
I wonder if the synthetic replacements for man will be made of plastics? Maybe the government, in all its splendor, plans on making oil illegal and then using junk car batteries to make plastics.
