According to an anecdote, a TV reporter, sometime in the late 70s or so, asked Getty, the billionaire,
“Is it easy to become super rich?”
Getty paused, and eventually said,
“It is; if that’s all you expect from life.”

“Insanity” has many “definitions.” My favorite is from Tibet:
“Those, who are selfish, are insane.”
The global “elite” is indeed insane. The following article contains a decent list of the participants:
https://feelingsfirstblog.wordpress.com/key-articles/global-elite-is-insane-revisited/
The author comes up with the following definition sanity:
“Sanity is the capacity to consider a set of circumstances, to carefully analyze the evidence pertaining to those circumstances, to identify the cause of any conflict or problem, and to respond appropriately, both emotionally and intellectually, to that conflict or problem with the intention of resolving it, preferably at a higher level of need satisfaction for all parties (including those of the Earth and all of its living creatures).”
If that definition is correct and the opposite of sanity is insanity, it looks like the vast majority or westerners are insane.
Of course, the article in the end, calls for people, who have no power to change the direction of the world, to do something about it.
Happily, the text also includes among the insane those, who serve the globalists: they are insane, among other things, because they will never notice in time that by gaining full control over the world, they will lose everything they once held, or would have desired to hold, precious.
Being a billionaire means you are part of the club. If you are, you either conform or you end up shunned. So, “changing things from the inside” seems quite an optimistic attitude even for those, who otherwise possess the power to change things for the better. As long as they cooperate with the maniacal and genocidal system, they are part of it; any way they want to re-assemble the parts, they simply re-build the same power structure with the same flaws and deficiencies.
People, who are afraid, strive for power, because they believe that, once in power, nobody can hurt them. They forget about hurting themselves: by the time they achieve their goals, they will be deprived of the last traits that used to qualify them as humans. Perhaps that’s why they prefer cyborg slaves to serve them and the rest of humans to die. What they will never notice is that they will have been dead well before they got rid of the “useless eaters” and, eventually, each other.

Hope for humanity lies mostly in the hands of the enforcers. If they understood that they will be the next to go, they would switch sides.
For example, in Tanzania, Magufuli, after the President who made fun of the WHO,
had been killed by the criminal cabal:
The new “leader” introduced the “covid” theater that is all too familiar for people in the West. It took only one week and the police threw away their muzzles and stopped enforcing the brutal, illegal, and inhumane edicts issued by the “government.”

Life goes on in Tanzania, and without enforcers, the mass murderers’ only weapon is their control over the global money flow and the loans forced on countries that would bankrupt those countries. Still, it’s fiat money with no intrinsic value; anybody can issue it, although it might take a while until the countries get rid of the choke hold of the “elite” bankers by ignoring their fiat money and starting to accept each other’s new currencies. Of course, replacing the politicians who have complied and humiliated, maimed, and killed their own people with lockdowns, injections, or simple violence, must precede all this. The transition will take time and international trade might be lowered to barter for a year or two.
Even in the best-case-scenario, the final outcome remains highly dubious. A fair and sustainable community has a limit of no more than 300 people and that’s not powerful enough to protect itself, so another protection racket is needed and new enforcers will be there to consolidate and exercise their power over the rest of the world. The resulting concentration of power will, again, alienate “leaders” from “the people,” so sooner or later, the world will arrive at the same stage of mass extinction as it is facing now.
"Being a billionaire means you are part of the club. If you are, you either conform or you end up shunned. " - I think for being even comfortable people have to be "part of the club." Only a few would be "allowed" to profit/steal resources/etc. to such an extent as to become billionaires.
"Of course, the article in the end, calls for people, who have no power to change the direction of the world, to do something about it."
People believing they/we have no power to change things is certainly convenient to the insanity of our masters. As a general rule of rule, internalized powerlessness on the part of oppressed people (aka learning to live with one's abuser) is necessary for the psychopathy of power.
