How Can You Make People Obey You?

Easy-peasy. Just act as all leaders have to.

As someone told me once, “You ARE different, and that’s BAAAD!” Still, I prefer the cold over the warmth of the pigsty.

During the period when the Nationalist-Socialist ideology prevailed in Germany between 1933 and 1945, people were given higher living standards than ever before, so they were not complete suckers. At the same time, they were told they were better than they rest of humankind (and there was definitely some truth to it, because each race is better at something than the rest, although specific traits are usually more important than others, depending on the context) and, instead of previous ideologies that had emphasized personal ineptitude (“you couldn’t make it, so you are stupid”) and guilt (“you are stupid or evil or both, so you ‘deserve’ what you are getting” and you must allow the bloodsuckers to bleed you dry), they were told to externalize their preconditioned guilt by believing that some scapegoats (Gypsies, homosexuals, Jews, communists, common criminals, and those who antagonized their ideology) were the ones to blame for all evil in the world. What a relief for the commoner…

Does it ring a bell? Well, it kind of reminds me of the communists and the American blend of exceptionalism (both trying to save the world from human nature), but I don’t know about you.

Well, doing something is infinitely harder, but there is always more than nothing you can do!
