According to many, the US has a one-party system, in which nobody represents the electorate.
Giving away $40b to one of the most corrupt country in the world does look like money laundering, but the “aid package” went through Congress with but a single vote against it.
Has this country been hijacked or is simply morally corrupt?

Both for sure. The US has been highjacked since Abraham Lincoln, I believe. The corruption of moral is on a high level among most people with money. Is has always been this way, throughout history. Money corrupts as does power.
