In the last two years, I noticed that the number of readers can greatly vary according to the time, when I publish an article, but I haven’t been able to determine what time would be the best for everyone, at least on average. As my readership ranges from the US through Europe to Australia and New Zealand, chances are it wouldn’t make much of a difference to settle for a time of day, but I’d still like to give it a try. On my end, I receive hundreds of e-mails a day, and I would find it useful, if I knew the approximate time, when my preferred authors publish. This could also help those readers who have had problems receiving notifications about my new articles, and it would make it easier to find notifications about my posts, if someone has a lot of e-mails as I do.
I can always schedule the time of publication. All options are in Eastern Standard Time, which is five hours behind GMT.
Time doesn't much matter since your articles are usually quite good.
The time of day doesn't matter to me but what does matter to me and I'm not saying that it's necessarily you but I only follow about five substacks but what is overwhelming is some are posting 3-5 times a day that I am constantly cleaning out my email up to three times a day and I really don't subscribe to a lot of emails but I'll wake up and I've easily got 150 emails and the majority are from Substack. I don't know why some feel they have to put out that many articles per day. 🤷♀️
