I keep trying to tell my son about the hazards of 5G and he just laughs at me because we live in an area where basic cell phone service constantly drops out. So I looked on the Broadband Now map which shows we live in an area with no coverage, according to the map. We have enough coverage to have calls work well enough to experience the drop outs. I don't know whether to believe it or not when he tells me news from a friend who works for Verizon. This Verizon employee says there are constant complaints about service drops in our area and that Verizon has no plans to upgrade local towers so we just have to live with the poor coverage. Even basic maintenance is ignored, according to the Verizon person. I guess that's good news?!?!
Yes, we are rural and we like it that way. It's a bit of a fight to keep our community rural as it's a tourist draw and the tourists are trying to become locals by building up the town. City folk may talk down about the Appalachia's but they sure do love to visit. Hopefully the expansion doesn't bring cell coverage improvements along with it. It's a wait and see thing, I guess.
