French has a general singular pronoun -- on (awhn) that equates to 'one' in English (e.g. one knows beauty when one sees it). I think that's much better for talking generally than the English use of 'you'.

In Spanish, the verb ending changes to show singular & plural and 1st 2nd or 3rd person, and one guesses from context. Spanish has extra pronouns for being polite to 'you', but only uses a specific pronoun for clarity.

Maybe we should just borrow the French 'on' but spell it awhn to avoid confusion with the preposition.

Which is your solution- one sex, or him/her etc.

You mention both.

"In an essay defending chivalry some years back, Emily Esfahani Smith tells the story of Samuel Proctor, the pastor of Harlem’s Abyssinian Baptist Church decades ago, who apparently offended a young woman when he politely doffed his cap as she entered the elevator car he was riding. “What is that supposed to mean?” she demanded."

The good pastor said respectfully: “Madame, by tipping my hat I was telling you several things. That I would not harm you in any way. That if someone came into this elevator and threatened you, I would defend you. That if you fell ill, I would tend to you and if necessary carry you to safety. I was telling you that even though I am a man and physically stronger than you, I will treat you with both respect and solicitude. But frankly, Madame, it would have taken too much time to tell you all of that; so, instead, I just tipped my hat.”

RaytheSource-one might consider how a gradual use of endocrine disruptors (read 'most plastics and a ton of other compounds we use daily like shampoo bottles, pjs with fire retardants, baby bottles) has been playing us in concert with the depop agenda...and the move for sexual freedom which is a century old really....as an old lesbo near 60, i do finally see it, that girls are less girly and boys, less boy-ey...or however you would say it. Dunno what to say but I think more than one thing is going on, and part of it is chemically induced. Like, would we know? Sadly hilarious in a way. best from OR

Absolutely... In the last 40-50 years, a lot of things have been going on that may have changed sexual attraction from the other sex to the same...

The divergent still must not divert the course of humanity, but I personally fully respect and support them as long as they don't cost the taxpayer more than what they produce...

Of course, considering what a taxpayer is, the system is incomplete at best.

Love requires personal responsibility for each other. A heterosexual couple is infinitely more authentic than a gay one, although gay couples apparently don't produce more gays than heterosexual couples do, and usually anything is better than state care. Still, there is evidence that Child Protection Services are participating in human trafficking.

As a matter of fact, I have REALLY seen "gays" who later realized that the other sex had more of what they had been looking for than their own sex. American plain Indians consider it a teenage diversion, not even a perversion, and the ancient Greek "philosophers" always preferred 15-16-year-old boys and, later, they lost interest. :) The boys were apparently feminine enough to attract the attention of older men...

One place where female and male can be hard to identify is online. Where if one was to be malicious one could pretend to be female to level accusations of misogyny while for example using the word c&nt a thousand times, a word that can have different meanings especially for the different sexes. In fact I'm sure that it's already happened along with the many cases of males in female prisons, male cyclists in female sports and so on.

Women's sports is a silly concept.

How so? You don't watch the netball? My mother used to love doing so. She was an avid netball umpire when I was growing up (I used to have to go and wait for her after the rugby). And a good competition level swimmer as well.

What's the logic in having women's sports.

Is it because the men would be better, if so then it's a matter of physique.

So lesser physique types can gravitate to their level, be they male or female or trans.

This would stop all the doping and masquerading.

If women can't play as good tennis as men then they play in the secondary or tertiary league along with the less muscular men.

If we are going to allow for weakness due to being female that is a problem if there's a very muscular female.

Let everyone rise or fall according to ability not sex.

Sez me.

It's instinctual to glance at someone and register if they are male or female.

(Not how kinky they like their sex.)

I know of one person doing that on Substack but I don't mind as she's (yes she not he) more than reasonable.

Of course I suspect it in a few others where they're being far from reasonable.
