A lady at the farmers market wanted me to sign a petition about factory farms. In the past, I would have. But instead, I asked her if she had heard about how many food production facilities have been destroyed in the last year or so. She looked at me with a dubious question mark look. I said that maybe now is not a good time to be removing more food production facilities. I am against tortured animals as much as ever, but can see a deeper agenda to decrease the overall amount of food in the system. I buy my chickens from a small farmer and they are expensive.
