Most people are just transients owning nothing they don't have a shire and that's why they are so malleable.

Rick, I'm without shire and don't have a tribe but, with all my heart I believe that I'm the only one doing any malleabling with whatever God-given ability I have. Apologies for malltreating the word.

It may be only my imagination, but I'd like to believe that everybody has a home in their heart...

Regarding identity and ownership, I can only speak for myself.

I don't think my stability is based on my assets. On the contrary: if I let everything go, whatever remains, is me, because the only thing I cannot let go is myself.

They are malleable, because they have been manipulated to fear for their little lives (they have nothing to live for, except to surive, but they don't know why), forget what they want (values have been abolished from public life), and give up their power to decide for themselves in return for someone else commandeering them, which they believe exempts them from the responsiblity for their decisions and actions (it doesn't).

Good points.

I'm afraid the system was designed to take people from the land, force them into not having a shire, easier to be taken advantage of.

It fascism, now a form of which knows no bounds - until the fossil fuel energy is to hard to get, and that might be sooner rather than later - then no one can guess how this will reset.

Agreed. Too many have been (or allowed themselves to be) what's the word? Hoodwinked. Maybe in the "old days" without overwhelming manipulation, subtle indoctrination and propaganda there was enough natural guidance supported by decent education and traditions to maintain God-given humanity. And then... we started

"progressing". I'm sorry I'm still grappling with accepting what I'm

a witness to. All the beautiful dreams for thriving human race that

were within our grasp and could've been achieved not only in ruins but going full-steam ahead towards our destruction.

I'm sorry you have to realize life is really not about easy getting easier. You and just about everyone else in western society has been living on resources from other nations or stolen from the future, to live this easy life.

Like burning a match at both ends.

It really doesn't take too much effort to take care of oneself and family in a sustainable way its just that our appetites for resources are so unnecessary. Just stop the frivolous pursuits.

Oh, Rick if only you knew how wrong your assumption is, you couldn't be more "wronger" but

I'm taking it in good spirit!

All you have is words. But that's ok, these are my ideas, and we all can express ideas, people can argue, wonder why, or dismiss them and unsubscribe as they feel.

Indeed. The shire is actually land holdings that are worth defending, and that's my point.

Even those who have payments and plenty of cash have nothing to defend and why they accept the system in keeping the cash.
