In the last two years, the eugenicist technocrats seem to have been following instructions from a central quantum nano-AI, which has been working flawlessly. People obeyed and many swallowed the lies, hook, line, and sinker.

As the monsters will eventually turn on each other, because they know they cannot be trusted, they must be developing such AIs for their groups' use at this very moment. Once these AIs start competing with one another and the participating contestants become aware of it, an internal war will inevitably ensue among the mass murderers. It might already be in motion.

Now, one group will inevitably prevail, and it will still have the technological superiority that will place the rest of the world back to the Stone Age. By then, however, their own lackeys will start doubting their invincibility (after all, many of them will have died during their struggle for exclusive power) or might even lose trust in them, which could result in the total collapse of the plan. As it happened to many crazy Caesars in Ancient Rome, they might be assassinated.

At that point, the surviving dominant AI must also be destroyed, because it will pose too much temptation for the survivors as a Ring of Power. The whole world will depend on the little “hobbit.” Will he will be strong enough to drop the One Ring into the fires of Mount Doom in Mordor?
