I think you're doing a good job.

Thank you Sir. Excellent insight into your formative years.

In Christianity, we are led. Lots of good, informative youtube videos. Learning more about what looks 'dark' about the head of Canada,

I wonder what it means, points to, when the head not only is shady now but it looks like this goes way back. As a senior woman,

I think my 'non compliance' is 'walking a straight path' and since

there is deviance within, rooting that out.

Do you know Stefan Molyneux? He said something I remember clearly. He explained how 'evil people'(I forget his term) poke

holes in the fabric of society.

He said that letting it go isn't wise, or good. He said by

verbally disagreeing, you helped plug a hole.

Lots of holes, and we only plug a few, but if more do it?

We begin to get sanity back.

Thanks for your rough, tough, but useful account.

And for letting us know things.

No, I am not familiar with Stefan Molyneux, but I'll check him out.

Obviously, if "everybody loves me," there is something wrong with me, because I condone deeds I shouldn't.

Since everybody is a misnomer, it's the high way when those who can understand you, can 'run with you'. I truly enjoyed Stefan, for years. Kind of slipped away, though.

Thanks for caring. A 'RAY' of light dispels our plight.

Reminds me of the saying:

A Peaceful Man, is a dangerous man, who chooses not to be.

A weak man, is no danger at all.

Thanks for those insights Ray.

…11Put on the full armor of God, so that you can make your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this world’s darkness, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13Therefore take up the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you will be able to stand your ground, and having done everything, to stand.

But, Ray, you're kind of defeating your own point, I think, because if I came across someone like you and the two of us were both fighting like we were the third monkey who do you think would win? You've been a street fighter all your life, punching holes in concrete. I've never had a physical fight in my entire life. So even if I took your advice, I don't think realistically I have any chance against someone with your skills.

Your advice is kindly meant and I believe it is very appropriate in these days but, short of a miracle (Joshua and his trumpets! Or a flugelhorn or euphonium!), my best bet is not to be that third monkey but to be Noah. Wuwei it. Not fight. Be a grey man. That's as much as I can do.

that can work in some places at some times. You can't do well physically but you can arm yourself.

Here’s a perfect example for anyone, especially a female: never be a part of

SECONDARY “crime scene”. If anyone tries to have you go with them somewhere else, that’s your cue to FIGHT.

For instance, those, who allow themselves to be forced into a car, hardly ever come back alive...

Most of the time, it's best to remain invisible. Sometimes, you cannot back out of a fight, but the only way to win most of the time is by being prepared.

I am reminded of the big battle sequence at the end of The Outlaw Josey Wales. Capt Terrill and his men are coming and Josey rallies the ragtag group of homesteaders while dispensing sage battle instructions.

Precisely the distinction as well between the human as Being vs. the Bourgeois of Becoming.

All resistance lies in the inner spirit. Cultivation of our spirit prepares the person to live in a world of blows and dealing blows. As Kazantzakis says, "We must be ready at any moment to give up our lives for his sake. For life is not a goal; it is also an instrument, like death, like beauty, like virtue, like knowledge. Whose instrument? Of that God who fights for freedom."

Indeed. I was not defeated after the age of ten because I was stronger, faster, or smarter, but because I never gave up. Never will, either. They can kill me, but they cannot kill my spirit. :)

As you are saying, it is essential that I need something more to live for than mere survival. I believe, that's what makes you and me a human, above the animal world. :)

Your header says most of what is needed! I do appreciate your sharing your past. Valuable lessons, thank you.

Stay creative folks, let the circumstances dictate action or non action. We are indeed on our own.

Guns are the great equalizer. A good man shows love by gifting his woman with pistols, shotguns and rifles. A hot date is going out in the woods to target practice together.

Like the old adage goes, "God created men and Samuel Colt made them equal." :)

Dry firing is cheaper most of the time, and learning how to handle your assembly quickly is more important than live practice. Preparing for potential attacks on your perimeter (preferably protected further) is also of primary importance. Live practice is costly and only a few can shoot straight even with the best equipment. :)

I read the Rhodesians won the 1976 (IIRC) world IPSC (international practical shooting confederation) championship. They didn't have enough rounds to do much live fire, so their training was mostly dry fire.

10 min a day is about right. grip, draw, front sight, trigger press. different stances, angles, etc. Use your imagination for your circumstances.
