On the Altar of Knowledge, Wisdom Has Been Sacrificed. Where Is It Now?
Yesterday is gone and tomorrow will not happen.
Sign financed by whom? Life insurance companies or drunken people? Life is full of mysteries, wouldn’t you say?
Knowledge is mandated, while wisdom is being eradicated
The term “knowledge” must refer to cognitive sources that enable a person to solve problems. Solving problems might incur something as simple as the ability of driving in a nail with a hammer (based on the user’s knowledge of how to use a hammer and a nail), as something as complex as to design a spaceship that actually works (assuming there is no manufacturing defect is involved).
How far can knowledge be “scientific”?
https://rayhorvaththesource.substack.com/p/freaks-of-science
That doesn’t sound particularly promising.
“Wisdom” enables to live life to its fullest, which often depends on the available sources and the obtainable objectives. In a static traditional culture, it was a no-brainer: it was a decision based on what the culture considered valuable. Harping on it these days looks like beating on a dead horse. When a politician refers to “traditional family values,” the meaning remains veiled up to the point when the bastard gets elected and does nothing to “restore” anything traditionally valuable, perhaps because those things are irredeemably lost or perhaps because he only answers his masters’ calls.
The world is now a melting pot of incompatible cultures, and historically, in such cases, the stronger usually eliminated the weaker. So much about “multiculturalism.” That should be fine as long as the person realizes the fact, but it still sends one’s head spinning: what has become of “values”? Devaluation and over-valuation of life has been used by the rulers for over a hundred years, and the outcomes are easy to observe: their lives are valuable, while yours is not. That is their “wisdom,” which doesn’t leave much room for yours, unless you fall for their scheme of convincing you to sacrifice yourself to the benefit of the Planet and to Mankind! Don’t worry, your sacrifice will not always be unnoticed; occasionally, they even erect monuments (using your money, of course) to all those, who have given their lives for their lives.
Horace may have been proud with his exegesis, Exegi moumentum (“I have completed my monument”), which he had successfully done before his head was cut off by docile servants of the latest benefactors of Rome, when he stuck it out of his palanquin during his escape from the City, but I doubt that he was truly satisfied with his “monument” during the last moments of his life.
You have your own cognitive space; if you decide not to use it, your rulers will
How much cognitive space are you left with, where you can still compile and retain your version of wisdom for later use? The most recent forms of mass manipulation are meant to shrink and, eventually, diminish such private rooms for thinking:
https://rayhorvaththesource.substack.com/p/the-imprisoned-mind-from-fear-and
Sometimes human thinking looks absolutely hopeless and the lack of information, while the constant exposure to gaslighting and moronic decisions (the two quite often overlap) further hamper the hope for success.
How far can “tradition” help?
People’s “conscience” is nearly-exclusively based on their primary conditioning, which took place before they reached full consciousness around the age of five. Therefore, people whose immediate environment in those years consisted of pickpockets, “inherit” the ethics and feel that the behavior and its priorities are fully justifiable.
Someone is brought up by saints also acts accordingly, but not out of personal conviction, making his efforts impersonal and deceptive for those around, because the “good deeds” come from a soulless depository of ideas that were dead on delivery.
A mandatory first step towards acquiring wisdom
Most people act according to their primary and secondary conditioning all their lives. They never make a personal decision and exercise their free will, perhaps because they feel comfortable the way they are or they can’t or wouldn’t accept responsibility for themselves. “Being red-pilled” would automatically mandate such thinking, but I am still to hear a word about linking the two by “alt” authors. Instead, the herd mentality is being encouraged by the incessant use of the ever-obscure and mischievously-deceptive personal pronoun, “we.”
Accepting responsibility for one’s decisions and action is a life-changing moment that opens up a path unknown to the person, so in a way, it is a leap in the dark and as such, is deadly dreadful. Still, only this narrow path can bring one to the light.
A leap in the dark
For most people, their cognitive space is filled up with trash that blocks the exit door. The only way to get to the door is by letting go. Although it feels existentially-threatening, nothing else can work. At the moment of initiating the leap in the dark, it feels like a salto mortale, a deadly jump, because it invokes the feeling that you die, if you go beyond that point. When I first did that at the age of 19, I felt the same, but I had to do it, because the intellectual junk I had accumulated was suffocating me to the point of threatening to turn my intellect into stone. Next, I assumed that whatever I would let go was not me, so I couldn’t get rid of myself even if I wanted to. For a moment, everything went dark, but after that, my inner space became huge, spacious, and full of white light. After that, I never had a problem repeating the practice every 7-10 years, and somehow, even my “knowledge” restructured itself into something more complex and usable.
What good is it to win the world, but to lose one’s soul?
Lucky me, according to my primary conditioning, I never cared to become famous, “successful,” or rich. In fact, I have always secretly despised such efforts by others, and was sorry for them instead of envying their “achievements.” My focus was on developing and maintaining freedom and independence as far as those can be done in this world without selling out my soul.
Still, you are not me, and you have to make your own path; nobody can and no one will do that for you. It’s called free will and exercising it invokes personal responsibility, at which point many give up, because it scares the living daylight out of them. Also, blaming the circumstances or others is a lot more comfortable, it requires no effort, and it usually comes with better payoffs.
Some things never change: the rules of developing your flavor of wisdom are the same for everyone else and the same as they have always been, but it’s now your challenge to compile your priorities, because traditional cultures are not flexible enough to remain relevant here and now. You must also make friends with the fact that even your own priorities evolve by accommodating new environments and new experiences, which will sometimes require that you make modifitations. Inconsistency is a necessity, but the truth and the correct action is always available right here and right now, even if the same decision would have been wrong yesterday or would be wrong tomorrow.
Yesterday is gone and tomorrow will not happen.
Conclusion
Your knowledge gives you the tools, but only your wisdom can provide your direction.
As an example of applying wisdom over knowledge, you can realize that faith/trust MUST precede hope. The following article contains useful examples of separating knowledge and wisdom, and includes the link that exemplifies the premise of prioritizing between hope and faith/trust:

Why does Team Biden want to buy Venezuelan oil?
During the Thanksgiving holiday, the Biden Administration announced it was quietly reversing policy and allowing limited petroleum imports from Venezuela. The Treasury Department lifted restrictions permitting a six-month deal to ease sanctions so that Chevron petroleum may buy and then ship Venezuelan crude oil to American refineries.
So while Americans were celebrating with Thanksgiving turkey, and distracted from political events, the people were being played for political turkeys.
