I've been researching the area of Political Ponerology for several years now trying to get a handle on what has been termed PPP (Persistent Predatory Personality) and/or DP (Dark Personality) and realized that tribalism more often then not, can be downright cannibalistic. I recently watched a video on Utube called "The Hidden Dangers of High Functioning Predators with Dr. Karen Mitchell that was somewhat enlightening as to why the worst seem to rise to the top. The human capacity for evil seems unlimited, but many people can be influenced by positive projections (the "Pygmalion effect"). I usually don't project anything into people (good or bad), which makes many of them feel uncomfortable, and once they start to reveal themselves with words and deeds, I hold a mirror in front of them, which they hate... No wonder I have only a few friends. :)
On the other hand, I don't care for placing people into common categories, and I don't even use such categories, only mine.
Given your qualifications in linguistics, I know you are more than qualified to "flip the script" but for someone who is still in the learning stages, like myself having to look up "Pygmalion effect" I find it easier for me to "call it like I see it" in real time so as not to distort the contortions of language. Those Vets sure know how to drop a horse with a needle or a cheaper 22cal behind the ear. MD's had an oath to spare their patients such treatment, but no longer have that Hippocratic Oath.

Now we have aramidolos out front tearing up yards, every neighbor tries to run them over, Wildlife won't don't squat, not can you trap. Why make these critters other peoples issues. Idiot's have revived Dire Wolves, Best left in a zoo or extenic.
