Then there is the old saw:

Control Tower: “Air Force 678, go around”

Pilot: “But I have a Code 7 onboard.!”

Tower: “Take him with you.”

Thank you for this one! 🤣

Threat to Public Safety came to mind, as I was reading this...and then I realized there it is....

My Old fav- Jumbo Shrimp

New fav- Public Health... it may not really be an oxymoron, but it is a most moronic idea anyway! Many things preceded by the word "Public"... now I realize, they've been conditioning us to think of "the collective" all along.

Ray, thank you. A laugh a day may not keep the doctor away or the creeps at bay, but it can help you feel better.

My favourite stupid bumper sticker is-

" Do it proper!" ... Usually found on massive 4x4s whose owners get fat tyres because they don't understand surface area contact increases just by letting air out of standard tyres.

Not sure if it's an oxymoron but the word " discriminate" seems at least contradictory?

Mine favorite sticker has always been, "Sleepy drivers rest in pieces." That aside, like 40 years ago, I burst out in laughter in the street, when I saw an industrial-size garbage container with a sign on it, "Trash only." Well, it was in the projects...

Its one of the reasons I don't fly anymore. Life is scary enough without adding more possibilities to a quick death as it stands. And for those who state that there are more vehicular deaths, hold your breath. I like both my feet on the ground; in my opinion, there is a higher chance of survival. That greeting card - so applicable. But the stupid wouldn't understand it anyways. Thanks, Ray!

I stopped flying when they started to grope people, and later, they even made it worse with the irradiation at "security checks."

Same here - no "my body, my choice", is there? And they continue to allow all these t*rrsts here. Go figure, but its all planned that way.

For some idiot pilots the checklist starts and ends with...do I have poison? Then I'm good to spray.

Ray,

I'm new here and I think this is hilarious. I support you in spirit and heart, but with all the dozens of wonderful Substackians out there (none of whom I can afford to support) I won't be able to actually pay you cash for your work. Makes me sad and if you have to kick me out I get it. But for now I'll read your words and appreciate you.

Being a retired gent, fixed income, food, mortgage, gas, grandkids to entertain, tithe, cost of doing business and all the other taxes, fees and fines I pay each year.....it's out of my reach.

Please forgive me and keep looking up.. You are a master.

Thank you, Marc. Please, don't worry about paying me. I started this stack on May 6, 2022, as a joke, as my name also suggests. It took less than a week to realize it was sorely needed.

As this stack is for people who can and willing to make their own decisions, I never expected it to reach 3,300 readers, where it is now.

Also, I've never planned this to be a source of income for me (it's a long way from that), because in order to be able to speak freely, I cannot depend on this revenue. I've always been happy to fly under the radar as lower-middle class (which is rapidly diminishing).

When I started, I promised to keep everything free (although I do offer a few bonuses for paying supporters), and readers' comments have been a major asset on my site (which would be a LOT less valuable without my wife's contributions). I outlined the details, for example, in

https://rayhorvaththesource.substack.com/p/a-tribute-to-my-readers-and-a-bit

I did notice that reading me requires, well, the ability to read AND to comprehend written text, which severely restricts my readership to those over 60, although there are most welcome exceptions. :)

Thank you Ray. A great response worthy of a post in and of itself.

You should change that to include Gen X-ers as well as Boomers lol

Yes, boomers can also be included. Hardly anyone below 40.
