Yes, in Adern Archipelago it's just the criminals and police that get to have guns in town.

The criminals are doing daylight armed robberies in malls now. That's new; I suppose that they actually are criminals. So many criminals in power.

Yup, the big criminals are running the country everywhere.

The small ones, as usual, are there to keep crime relatively low. The police get their share and protect the criminal syndicates from the competition. It's a big, happy family! :)

My last use of a firearm was at Ft. Knox. I trained for 8 weeks in college for ROTC. I did not find the Army very inviting. I go back and forth on the Romance of armed insurrection and self defense.

Self defense I grasp. Up to a point. Armed insurrection is highly Romantic as is self defense against any modern military. Will my personal fire arm protect me at home from the invader? Maybe. In regards to gun grabbing by the State my thought is it is part of a much greater grab and less important than that which already has been stolen from the armed population. I do not support the grab, but acquiescence to so many other thefts surely offers hope for the Tyrant.

You have to only look at the state of the Uk since firearms were made illegal !! It’s of no shock the amount of people I know of that willingly take up arms should it become less frowned upon by the law

Firearms have been illegal here for donkey years though (except NI).

You are right that the UK is a shithole now but I would blame many other things before lack of guns.

What is it that people overseas have been told about the UK?

Our Olympic Pistol Shooting Team goes abroad to practice as they cannot have the guns in GB.

In Nashville a trip to some places to purchase guitars prompts the owner to say they prefer to take guns in payment. The Wild, wild West these days.

The Heartland of America. Shrinking... Is it the land or is it the heart?

I believe people are worried about the safety of the community and their families. The propaganda works against anyone feeling safe. Humans are already a skeptical lot but right now they're frightened.

If they are already frightened, what's going to happen, when they and their children will have nothing to eat and will be freezing?

I do have a few friends, who would protect me with their lives and I would do the same for them.

Does such a friendship exist in the younger generation?

The propaganda works on anyone afraid. Nobody is ever "safe."

These people aren't necessarily "younger". My comment doesn't extend to expertise on this but guessing as an American who descends from people who lived around guns as tools, much like any other tool, is they can be used for good or ill. Can't guess about the spiritual health of Nashvillians who prefer guns over money for a guitar sale. There are tons of folks throughout the country who will protect each other with their lives. All I do know is crime is out of control in this country and people intend to defend themselves and their friends & family. This episode of Fascism has not led people to be more reasonable.

Too many guns and few guitars? :)

Not sure about all those people, once they and their children are cold and starving...

But the bottom line is that guns become simply another form of currency. There are plenty of guitars (another form of currency), guns are more scarce, money is worth less, etc. Like Wampum Beads in the early colonies, like Dutch tulips before that, like gold, silver, and modern currency - economics works on common sense and is quite fluid. Would expect good food, water, fuel will become new currencies along with weapons and of course labor exchanges. Guitars? Likely as live music once again prove more valuable.

Who said anything about trust? We left and never went back. That’s all folks. Just an interesting story of certain Nsshvillians. I
