We take flak when we're over the target. Flak fire ( from big guns) was used by the Germans to shoot down allied ( American/ British) bomber planes in World 2. When the bombers were taking flak fire in the darkness, they knew they were over the target because only protected targets had flak gun protection.

He got upset at the furniture department, and the store assistant called the police, because he saw the customer was carrying. Once he stepped out of the store, there were like eight police cars, and he received contradicting instructions, after which he was shot down like a mad dog. Police and armed forces don't seem to mix well...
If ever stopped by police on the road, I would have to behave EXTREMELY submissively, unless I would like someone to get shot, which I do NOT. In rural KY, however, you just don't get stopped, unless you are doing something crazy.
As I said, my encounters are rare. Usually government building check-in. Even if the greeter is friendly they’re usually backed by one standing in a ready posture. I drive regularly through rural areas and although mostly pleasant and uneventful, sometimes you get stopped for no reason other than a peek on false pretext. It’s easy pickens given the despair in rural areas today. They are usually just an annoyance because I maintain my vehicles and papers squeaky clean and the background check says model citizen. Despite my carry which I find does not bother rural cops at all if your background incursion was uneventful. They still have that hand on the belt though.
