Salt is only available to those living near the oceans. Most Canadians and Americans that live away from the shores did not have ready access to salt. They should have died quickly. They did not. This population examination suggests that salt is not essential to survival.
Fat from animals. There are NO fat wild animals, except for those in the very far north whom are getting ready to hibernate or 'starve' through the winter months. As well as marine mammals where the fat is for temperature regulation in the cold waters. All other wild animals are very very lean. This fact suggest that consumption of the fat from animals is not essential to survival.
Carbs. Mastering Diabetes is a two person company that deals with diabetics; type 2 and type 1. They show the type 1 diabetics are able to reduce the insulin to glucose ratio - which is the best way to manage that condition. The ideal is to be able to consume more carbs, while injecting less insulin - this is getting close to actually reversal. How do they do this? By cutting out OIL/FAT to zero. The clients can then increase their carbs, and their insulin units actually goes down. This reduction of required insulin suggests that carbs are not the problem, and that FAT/OIL is the source of diabetes.
Please, write your own articles before posting things like this in my comment sections. Links, as long as they pertain and explained, are most welcome, but while I must make sure my comment sections remain readable, I simply don't have the resources to answer them in details that would suffice in this case. As a last attempt, I am making an exception here.
Salt per se is not essential for survival only as long as it comes from food, and these days, it doesn't. Even "organic" produce is often devoid of nutrients, because hydroponic is allowed to parade as such.
To make a long story short, yes, salt IS necessary for survival.
Rock salt exists, and it happens to be better than the one from the oceans, because the oceans are now quite contaminated.
Fat-soluble nutrients do exist, but their "recommended dose" is far overrated, as usual. Still, fat IS needed, although as the article also says, everyone's metabolism is different. Due to inherited metabolism, it would be best to follow one's ancestors' diet, but that's impossible these days.
Type 2 diabetes is overdiagnosed, and it's most likely caused by the pharmaceuticals prescribed for it.
Certain types of fat do mess up metabolism, but my readers already know that.
Please, read the article before wasting my time...
the purpose of social media, like substack, is to clarify when we as individuals believe, and to improve our own mental conceptions of each idea.
If you do not have inputs of ideas that challenge yourself, or push you to clarify, you would only be in an echo chamber. Is that what you want? Otherwise, there is no point for me to respond since you said it is “wasting your time.”
I read your first 3 points, and commented. That is me reading your ideas.
Salt is essential when it is part of the whole food, as you have said. BUT you write as though, in your point, that external sources are needed - see your own post as my support. Salt IS NOT essential for survival as an external sourced supply. There is enough in whole foods to provide what we need. Can we agree on that wording? You assert that foods are devoid of nutrients - where do you support this? Whole foods, locally grown, is what we have always survived upon. How is this devoid? SAD is devoid, yes. Please clarify when you write, or you will have people like me, without hardly any history in posts, making singular comments to you for clarification.
Fat, as made by the body, is needed. The amount found in whole foods is minimal - under 10% of total calories. There are very few wild sources of fats/oils. Rice is 2% of its calories in fat, and potatoes are similar.
My point is still valid. Grow our own foods, improve the soil quality and the brix levels in the plants. Eat locally grown, in season. Store foods for the winter. Both vegan or meat sources can be good for the winters. Carbs are necessary, for the brain, and for a good shelf life storage calorie.
" the human body can subsist on very little for some time, and even beyond that, a lot less is enough than whatever is usually recommended by “experts"
Wow- if that isn't the understatement of the year!
For two years I worked as a consultant for a legal firm which helped Holocaust survivors receive German pensions for work performed in ghettos under the Nazis. The lion's share of the job was simply listening to survivors talk about their experiences.
(Sadly, I was often the first person to ever ask these elderly survivors about the Holocaust ; as their own children usually steered clear of the topic out of fear they might "trigger " the parent. In retrospect, the survivor's children were the ones who were triggered - not the other way around! )
It never ceased to amaze me that ANYONE survived the Holocaust - yet, night after night I spoke with survivors who were well into their 80s (and beyond!) who were surprisingly sound in body and mind, despite decades of starvation, zero medical care, sanitation or adequate clothing.
By all laws of nature, every one of these people should have died long ago from malnutrition, disease, kakamaimie medical experiments , despair, exposure to the elements, or injury. How did they not only survive, but outlive their contemporaries who had everything ???
Traditional Judaism teaches that one can and should seek competent medical advice for illness-but only God has the power to heal. If a doctor appears to help a patient it's only because God granted "permission" to heal.
Therefore, if a person has no natural means of sustaining or healing himself, God can do the impossible. These survivors are absolute proof of that.
Did you know that "Holocaust survivors" have never were required to provide any proof of their internment? It turns out, even their children are still entitled to collect "reparations." That's a deal only few would be honest enough to turn down...
No wonder so many "survived."
Actually, in spite of the massive emigration to the US, in 1948, there were more Jews in Europe than in 1938 (census data).
So, if you are sick, and "God doesn't want you to heal," you are punished for your sins, right?
Starved was rampant during WW2. In Germany, 2-3 million Germans were starved to death between 1945 and 1948. That doesn't include the approximately 1.5 million Germans, ranging from age 8 to 80, who were killed in French and American concentration camps (Montgomery refused to participate in the genocide). A lot of the official story seems invented. Of course, why would "authorities" tell the truth in one thing, when they keep telling lies about everything else? Revisionist history is not all nonsense:
With a Nobel Prize winner, the wiesely one, Elie Wiesel, who has never been in a camp... Soros is another candidate for the worst, but the snake-oil salesman, Wiesenthal, takes the cake.
You are what you drink and eat and inhale. A organism encountering the biosphere. These days supplements are available more bio available to the cells. I think survivors will supplement. Costly though..
nice to read someone who has done some real research on health, i was feeling somewhat lonely here.
i have a cousin thats a nutritionist at a hospital for patients that cant eat and i had to school her on K2 when she was telling me about adding lots of vit D to their feed. she got her degree before they figured out what K2 does and hadnt kept up
What to eat, indeed! It becomes more challenging for those concerned about their health to know what is best. We evolved from long ago ancestors who hunted and foraged for everything they ate. We are such omnivores but the land, water, skies and seas furnished our choices. Today we are accustomed to acquiring most of our food stuffs from the mainstream grocers & producers. We have natural food stores loaded with sugary, additive laden products. I know many who emphasize grass fed meats and wild caught seafood to avoid or heal from auto-immune disease, allergy, GI issues, etc. We have descended from a wild, natural world where we had to be fit to obtain food to the massive convenience of today's toxin laden foods, water, air. Supplements require an encyclopedic knowledge to safely consume.
Thank you Ray, you stated what I've told stupid doctors multiple times, on creams, ointments, rubs, patches, if you put it on your skin it is absorbed by the body, and into the bloodstream, thus into your GI tract. Voltaren rub will tear up your GI Tract with GERD. Diclofenac sodium is the main ingredient, welcome to you next chronic ACID attack. Take a peek at what to expect besides the acid. BTW NOT for Glaucoma Patients either. https://www.rxlist.com/voltaren-drug.htm OA drugs ARE AS BAD.
When you have two health conditions with opposing diets, you have to use the one that causes the least problems. And Only you can figure out which one works for you. Because 2 doctors in opposing fields will never agree. And their drugs kill.
I take some supplements my dr recommends, with the leaky gut & mold illness I only absorb a small percent of my vitamins and minerals. Recently able to cut back on some of them. I was wondering why my Walmart organic spinach was not satisfying at all, I bet I will discover it is hydroponic grown( I’m embarrassed I shop there, I’m a good distance from nearest” health food “store.
It is tasteless. I'm 74, so grew up when fresh produce was seasonal, what wasn't came out of Hot Houses. This year supposedly field grown Arkansas tomatoes had no smell, and no taste. NO Jabs, No Covid. While Ripley, TN generational farm grown tomatoes I drove an hour to buy 2 bushels to can, smelt and tasted like they should. BTW FJB wants more regulations on Farmers Markets, you might accidentally eat a healthy food. NO green beans were available. Even their produce seem to spoil faster, that could have been the 110 heat, no rain. The South gets. Destroyed my garden. And watering it, the SMART METER reported it as a Water Leak. Nothing beats Rain for a garden.
As for organic, free range you best investigate them. Carrageenan is a seaweed, can be called an additive, it will destroy your GI Tract. And is even in organic foods, there are lawsuits over it. And is in Baby Food/Formula, wonder why your baby needs Nexium? You fed the crap to them, as it is not required to be listed. Dairy products is high in it.
Then you went KETO to lose weight, Crohn's and Celiacs react to the premade/box stuff.
Carrageenan was in an “ organic “ heavy cream I bought recently, & double the price of un-organic.
I can’t find gluten free organic bullion anywhere. My husband made a delicious stew this week and I had upset stomach for hours. He bends over backwards reading labels for me. & never complains about the added cost.
I’m sure the pesticides are much of my problem. Always wondered if I’d have done better growing up in Europe! Thanks for fact about the wheat. I’m sensitive to so many chemicals and additives.
I was born early, 2 lb 5 oz. As a teenager, I took tetracycline for acne & that probably affected my gut . Im off to do some reading on the wheat/ grass - appreciate the info! My stomach does better with ( for instance) corn from Italy, a lot of the gluten free pasta has corn or rice base .
I do the shopping and label reading, Heritage Farms Chicken has it in boldface print, along with Sodium. Gave me SIBO. 4.5 months sick, I'd never encountered the word before. Add Bromelain to the avoid list. I don't have gluten issues, Vagus Nerve was damaged by a bad Vertigo fall. Which gave me Gastropresis, Slow Digestion. NO FIBER, NO SKINS, OR SEEDS. Keep your vits/mins up with Probiotics @ 30-40 billion multi strain. Do you taste the can in fruits? I do. I can a lot of what we eat. And have less problems, who knows what metals those cans are made of. Gave up soda over a decade ago. Gave up Holstein milk at 18. It upsetr my GI tract even back then.
Thanks! I can taste the metal. I used shampoo & personal products with least amount of junk. My leaky gut really means everything is leaky. If I use standard shampoo, I can taste it in a few minutes. I have a probiotic from Metagenics right now, through my dr, needs refrigeration. I can tell the next day if I’d forget ten times take it. Glad you can can . Appreciate your comments! I love substack and the amazing kind intelligent people writing & commenting. So refreshing.
We don't have one within 2 hr drive. We are a small rural town with 1 badly stocked food supply. Currently side lined with very painful Diverticulitis. I hate Flagyl, it is not nice to my vision. Might work if you had Covid as it is a Parasitic. And Organic has the same Toxic Heavy Metals as all food has Especially Baby Food.
As for heavy metals, chemtrails don't discriminate. Moreover, high levels of pesticides have been found in ordanic produce, too. Oatmeal seems to be one of the worst offenders.

Next time you have the occasion to be incarcerated in a hospital - notice what they feed you.
Starch, carbs, dessicated tinned vegetables, wheat & gluten, and more wheat & gluten. It's almost like they WANT you to be ill.
I marvel at how bad hospital food is - in a place which is supposed to help, not harm you.
Indeed. The same applies to nutritionists' guidelines.
I wrote the following in the hospital:
https://rayhorvaththesource.substack.com/p/ensure
Hospitals serve mostly toxic food and microwaved crap are sometimes barely recognizable and the body certainly cannot recognize them.

Thanks for good works here!
Quite bad around here, too. There is a Kroger's besides a Walmart, and none of them is very good, although Kroger's is a bit better.
The good news is that until October, we have a Farmer's Market and my wife is on good terms with everyone there!
Hydroponic usually tastes like water. :)
It is tasteless. I'm 74, so grew up when fresh produce was seasonal, what wasn't came out of Hot Houses. This year supposedly field grown Arkansas tomatoes had no smell, and no taste. Not sure it's gluten. In the 1930s, Americans crossed European wheat with American grass, and the latter is not digestable for Europeans.
Also, pesticides accumulate, so eventually, all kinds of "allergies" occur.
I’m sure the pesticides are much of my problem. Always wondered if I’d have done better growing up in Europe! Thanks for fact about the wheat. I’m sensitive to so many chemicals and additives.

As long as you have your appendix, your gut flora is unlikely to be destroyed completely, but probably nobody knows for sure.
It looks like your body constantly contains more toxins than the amount it can take, which results in all kinds of "allergies."
I am finding Italian pasta easier to digest. US wheat, even non-GMO, gives me a heartburn.

& rice- arsenic. When I went gluten free, my dr told me to go easy on rice based products.
"Organic" stuff in stores is usually "disinfected" with UV, rendering it infertile or even useless.
Sigh. Thanks. I fell behind researching. Farmers market may be the only real food left. All the more reason to network locally.
Low-heat paseurized milk still goes sour, as opposed to ultra-pasteurized milk.
If they can, and do, put all kinds of toxins into "medications," what would prevent them from doing the same to supplements?
I tried that and my homocysteine level dramatically shot up. I think a high quality B vitamin is helpful.
What is a high quality B vitamin?
