Do you want to live in a world like this just to “survive”? Well, nobody will ask you. Nobody ever did.
How does the global production/supply chain work? No need for cherishing illusions, because even a tiny phenomenon, nitrite in ham, can direct you to the whole picture, if you think long enough.
Nitrite in meat is only an example to explore
Nitrate vs. nitrite
Over time, nitrate (NO₃) converts to nitrite (NO₂), which then converts to nitric oxide (NO).
Are these toxic? If you look at the Internet, most sources pose to be on the fence1, but that can be due to the fact that people might feel bad about being poisoned, while they cannot do anything about it. However, considering an industrial waste, fluoride, has been added to municipal water for decades at the taxpayer’s expense2, I’m finding it hard to imagine that people can or will do anything about being deprived of rights (as it happened n the “Patriot” Act), poisoned (e.g. with chemtrails, 5G towers, flame retardants, forever-chemicals in food, water, or with healthcare products, esp. “vaccines”) or even systematically killed (as it seems to have openly happened in Hawaii with directed energy weapons). I am still flabbergasted by people inciting resistance by telling people not to comply:
Nobody will be asked if they want to comply, just like nobody has been asked before. The choice, bluntly presented, will be between starving to death or consuming obviously-toxic products (some thing never change, eh?), which is a crude analogy, but it serves its purpose just fine.
Still, there is some appeal to the French destroying 5G towers that are, of course, repaired at their own expense the next day.
Nitrites in municipal water
Not that it matters a lot, nitrate, as you may have known or guessed already, is not good for you. As far as I can tell, once there is too much of it in water, water loses its regenerative potential, and putting it in your body is either no good or is positively harmful.
As I have been tending my fish tanks for about 40 years, I am also aware that nitrite is sadly present in municipal water3 (they are also produced by a live fish tank, so they accumulate, which causes water quality to deteriorate), too, and there is not much one can do about it, unless they possess the funds for installing an ionic exchange unit, a water softener, and an RO (reverse osmosis; it can remove 80-90 percent of nitrates) water filter; a not particularly feasible alternative is to distill the water and replenish it with minerals and electrolytes.
According to Wikihow4,
Due to the expansion of industrial agriculture, widespread use of fertilizers, and overwhelmed wastewater treatment systems, it’s increasingly common for water—especially well water or improperly treated municipal water—to have elevated nitrate levels. This has prompted efforts to find new methods for removing nitrates, such as solid-phase denitrification.
Solid-phase denitrification uses a biodegradable polymer (such as wood chips or seaweed) as a carrier for microorganisms that essentially consume nitrates.
While newer methods like this one carry a lot of promise, they may not be available, affordable, or practical where you live.
Nitrite are in meat
Okay, so you don’t want nitrite in your ham sandwich. What’s the big deal? Sodium benzoate (E250 and E211, respectively, in the European Union, with E250 being a known carcinogen in processed meat, which I consider a major cause of colon cancer), yet it has not been eliminated.
For better or worse, Sandrine Rigaud has gone through hell in order to corner to meat industry about nitrite pumped into ham for retail:

The Meat Lobby: How the Meat Industry Hides the Truth | Investigative Documentary from 2016 In 2015, the WHO listed one of the additives in processed meats as carcinogenic. That same additive was nearly banned in America in the 1970s – until lobbying from the meat industry discredited the scientists. We reveal how, to impede or halt regulations on certain additives, lobbyists have been working in the shadows for decades. At the heart of this strategy are the scientists who collaborate, who receive generous compensation for studies that promote meat consumption. In conjunction with this, those whose work finds health risks associated with meat are ‘shut down’. From Brittany to Denmark, through California and Wisconsin, director Sandrine Rigaud conducted a year-long investigation on the tactics of the meat industry.
To make a long story short, nitrite is used in processed meat for supermarkets in order to keep meat, primarily ham, neatly pink, because oxygenation would quickly turn it into unappetizingly brown5. At the end of her quest, the only result was that meat carried a warning that it might not be good for you. The video blames the meat lobby, but I am finding the conclusion simplistic.
No need to jump to conclusions: the system is showing the path
As much as the “scientific method” is paraded around, only a tiny fraction of everyday problem-solving can be framed in science. In fact, it can be argued that “scientific” processes are exclusively based on approximation and applicability, while the myth surrounding “science” boils down to fraud or a hoax most of the time, nearly exclusively sponsored by companies that profit from the outcome and often published and supported on “peer-reviewed” platforms by authors who expect their ruses to be also popularized in return:
https://rayhorvaththesource.substack.com/p/freaks-of-science
Although most problems are handled through analogy (whatever worked once, is assumed to work in similar situations), more than that can be done. On May 23, 2023, I explained how your frame of reference makes of breaks the reliability of your judgments6:
A day before the article, I elaborated on my path to constructing an open cognitive frame for my conjecturing about the period ranging from 2020 to this very day, and provides a detailed example of my method:
Lobbying in the US: What can it be blamed for?
In my happy days of ignorance, I used to believe that lobbying was supposed to influence lawmakers’ decisions on upcoming legislation. I remember an article in the TIME Magazine7 from around 2002, explaining that pharmaceuticals were spending around $65k a day on lobbying.
The purported objective of lobbying is just about a real as election results after the realization that honest candidates are not welcome or have the slightest chance to win in “democratic elections.”
One can easily assume that lobbyists act as private messengers to the (s)elected “politicians,” because they communicate verbally, leaving no electronic traces or a paper trail behind. Of course, everything is recorded behind those congressional walls, but the information is withheld and is at the sole discretion of the overlords who are pimping out their politicians to the American public. They might still occasionally want to make sure that their publicity playboys are in line, so the discussions between politicians and lobbyists sometimes matter to them. In fact, when secrecy must be guaranteed, such private encounters remain essential, which strangely brings back the days before the Internet and cell phones.
As a result, those groomed to officiate the controllers’ policies, push through legislation that legalizes past illegal processes or permits acts that harm people, while taking advantage of them by making them pay for it and introducing further constructs that are going to do the same to their unsuspecting and impressionable financiers, breaking grounds for even more of the same.
Follow the money?
It used to be that once you managed to find out the financial sources of an NGO, a movement, a news agency, or a business, you were able to draw conclusions regarding the credibility of the legal entity in question.
These days, a few investment powerhouses control most, if not all, of everything that makes the world go around. Vanguard, Blackrock, and State Street are the leading fronts for the globalist banking system, which is only a tool and a front itself to hide the eugenicists who use technology to stage a worldwide takeover of full control, which entails the extermination of the vast majority of people and turning the rest into cyborg slaves.
I remember, from decades ago, the way to get around having to pay taxes as a company was to register your company in no less than three countries, and by using off-shore accounts, you were able to launder as much as you needed to in order to avoid having to pay taxes in each fiscal year. Now, that was for the small fish, who were left alone only because that’s how the big ones operated (who, as Marx noted, eventually devour the small fish, anyway), and attracting attention to that would have been premature at a time, when they still didn’t exercise full control over all governments. These days, they wouldn’t have to bother, because they already control everything and stopping them would result in billions starving to death or killing each other. Well, that’s still not out of the question, just wait and see.
Anyway, the cover-up is happening, and it is so successful that many people assign the blame to specific groups or secret societies, whereas the real identity of the culprits is unknown. The most successful patsies are the Vatican, the “Jews,” Freemasons, royalties, Jesuits, while more realistic contenders (e.g. “The Club of Rome” and the like) are also making the list8. Such lists give people the illusion of cognitive security and some even venture to assume that the powerful are “afraid,” which of course makes no more sense than a bull being afraid of a fly circling around his ass.
The hundreds of affected companies and corporations can be, to a certain extent, observed on a colorful, ever-changing kaleidoscopic screen, where companies emerge, vanish, and reappear, registered under different names at divergent localities, while their ownership also keeps changing to the point that detailed searches show long lists of links of overlapping owners of who-owns-whom. Follow THAT money, if you can… Many of these “companies” (most notably, the “environmentally-friendly” ones; think renewable energy and whatever is “necessary” to “save the Planet”), are also basically financed with the taxpayer’s money, but that’s only the tip of the iceberg. When it comes to corruption and lack of transparency in the Brave New World of “democracy,” where people can sometimes decide who should execute the next steps of the globalist plan for another four years, although they wouldn’t need to bother, because Dominion machines and mail-in votes can do the job for them.
International financing
By now, you are probably aware that when a single party owns a lot of assets, it can manipulate the market, and it can afford to lose money on one end, and make up for the losses somewhere else. That’s a pretty old trick in stock market investing, assuming you wanted to know what you were doing, didn’t mind making some money by remaining small fish following a fishing boat and thriving on the scraps discarded by the crew.
Today’s world seems to work by a single party owning and controlling everything that matters. There are spectacular clown shows on TV, telling people how the functionaries for the globalists antagonize each other, but ultimately, the result will be the same9. For example, Austria wants to introduce the right to use cash as a constitutional right, which is supposed to prevent the dominance of CBDCs. Other places want to outlaw CBDCs. What are they going to do, when cash loses its value and the CBDCs are already out there (there will be one for each country and another for international use, but by following the “one-Earth” policy, the latter is going to gradually replace the national ones). Without payments, everything stops, so people will have to resort to using CBDCs, unless they want to speed up their departure from the realm of the living. Gold-based currencies couldn’t control more than a small fraction of the world economy:
Anyway, as opposed to the common myth, it’s never been about the money:
In fact, for the Federal Reserve, YOU ARE THE CURRENCY10:
Don’t worry. Everything is under control:
The attitude reminds me on the “Midwestern Doctor’s” noncommittal presentation on the Hawaii democide:

MWD’s attitude doesn’t surprise me now that it turns out (s)he is Mercola’s “good friend.”
It’s in most toothpastes, too, because it’s supposed to protect your teeth. Does it really? Even dentists are now used against their own patients:

Alternative?

CO2 packing is a less invasive method used in packaged meat, but nitrite-infusion is primarily for ham.
To make problem-solving more generally accessible, solutions can be paired with the cognitive level where they emerge:
The magazine itself still had some informative and entertainment value at the time that was above supermarket tabloids. In the last ten years or more, tabloids must have outscored it in their fact value. I cannot tell you for sure, because I don’t read either, but I’m finding it nearly impossible to write anything that is not inherently better than the TIME or, for that matter, The New York Times.
Arguably, most, if not all these organizations have been infiltrated by globalist interests at their highest levels, while their lowest ranks can be targeted as patsies.
For example, the diminishing value of the USD can be blamed on BRICS policies:
https://rayhorvaththesource.substack.com/p/the-final-stage-to-a-one-world-government
Of course, the plan for BRICS is the same as the one for the dollar. Gold-based currencies cannot function in today’s world, because they could affect more than 1-2% of the global economy:
https://rayhorvaththesource.substack.com/p/where-is-americas-gold-and-why-does
And in the functionality-based technocratic future, you’ll be useful even in your death:

Excellent.
