Instead, France and Britain declared war on Germany for re-occupying historic German areas with a German majority populace, but when Stalin took the rest of Poland, they didn't declare war on him "for attacking an ally." Something fishy there, right? Germany was set up, and Stalin was used for destroying it, not that the "allied" occupation was not disgusting in the aftermath... Stalin was rewarded with half of Europe after the "victory," and Patton was killed for noticing it:

Arguably, the 16 million German deaths, equally divided between the troops and the civilians, is incommensurately larger than the 20 million Soviet deaths, considering the total size of the two countries' population. Also, it looks like the "Allies" were guilty of most of the atrocities that come up in movies and at the kangaroo trial in Nuremberg against Germans...
The Germans didn't want war, but their peace offers were constantly refused and the British Navy put the country under blockade in order to starve its inhabitants (three million Germans were still starved to death by the "Allies" between 1945 and 1948, nonetheless). Hitler had no phantasmagoria of "world rule"; that's only historic propaganda... The Americans were simply wasted in both Europe for no good reason except WW1 was a test run and WW2 resulted in the destruction of Germany and (!) Britain, which ensured global hegemony for the USA that was already controlled by the same group of people as today.
